The end of January and, so far, February, has been unkind to us as regards builds. No damage to any of our crubs from the storms. The key is strong, deep foundations and avoiding Postcrete (It is not a structural material). Instead we use concrete. This does mean a few days lost for concrete drying but also means, with correct depth and mass, there’s no danger of catastrophic damage. We maintain that a good job takes as long as it takes, rather than rushed for profit.
We currently have two complex builds, both using our excavator for foundations. This is due to difficult sites and client requested extra groundworks, which we are generally happy to help with. Posts are in now, but it is unsafe to move sheets about or leave a build half done with storms around.
Hopefully the weather will soon settle and we can get on with several more on the island and mainland that are in the pipeline.
